5 More Free Gifts for Fun in San Francisco

If the last thing you expect on vacation is to rack up tons of Master Card debt, you've come to the right place. I'm here to give advice on some free things to do while visiting San Francisco. It's true, it's unreasonable to think that you can go on vacation without spending money and have fun. However, it is possible to be too picky when deciding where to spend your money, with alternative entertainment options that cost little or nothing.

Instead of a list of the top ten, which can be quite long, I will give a list of the top five. I sincerely hope you use this list as inspiration to find your own free or inexpensive things to do while visiting San Francisco. On the list:

San Francisco
San Francisco

1) San Francisco Botanical Garden.

San Francisco's climate provides a unique environment that allows plants from all over the world to grow and thrive. As a result, at the San Francisco Botanical Garden you can see plants that are rare almost anywhere in the world. The gardens cover an area of 55 hectares and contain more than 7,500 plants from around the world.

2) Chinese cultural center.

This center offers resources about Chinese culture in San Francisco in addition to numerous programs to learn about the artistic and cultural contributions made by the Chinese community to this great city.

3) Fort Point National Historic Site.

This place has special historical significance. Its original purpose was to prevent invasion forces from entering San Francisco Bay. At the end of the Civil War, the massive cannon used for this purpose was no longer used. The last of the original 126 guns were removed around 1900. In the 1930s, the fort was used as headquarters for the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge. This fort has played an important role in our history and is worth a visit, especially since it is free.

4) Concerts in Stern Grove.

These concerts only take place on Sunday afternoons during the summer months, but are worth checking out if you have a sunny Sunday afternoon during your stay. The purpose of these concerts is to educate the masses and potentially inspire future musicians. A love of music is the second best gift you can give your child, after a love of reading. It's a great way to spend the day and it's free!

5) Wells Fargo Historical Museum.

This museum is a fun trip for the whole family. It not only tells the story of Wells Fargo as it applies to San Francisco, but also tells the story of Black Bart and other stagecoach robbers, and introduces visitors to the fascinating history of the great earthquake of 1906 and Wells Fargo's role in the rebuilding process. I think this museum will be interesting, especially for the price.

If you're visiting San Francisco and need some great family activities to fill your days, then this is definitely a great place to start. I hope you find a few more things than what I've mentioned here to fill in the gaps and keep young and old entertained while on vacation. Remember not to plan your trip too carefully, as some of the best opportunities arise spontaneously rather than planned.
